African Telecommunication Union (ATU), New Economic Partnership for African Development (NEPAD), Union of National Radio and Television Organization of Africa (URTNA), among other organizations, have come together to organize the first pan-continental, large scale, specialized ICT exhibition and conference to take place in Africa

Live Demo Serving Tsunami Victims through Telemedicine Solutions, February 15, 2005

I-LINX and TeleVital partnered to provide a remote medical diagnostics solution via the RBGAN portable satellite modem. This solution connects rural healthcare providers to Super specialty hospitals based in major cities, enabling real-time diagnostics even in areas with no established telecommunications infrastructure. In partnership with the Rescue Foundation (www.rescue-foundation.org), a Nagapattinam based medical NGO, St. Stephen's Hospital, I-LINX, and TeleVital (www.televital.com) conducted a demonstration of this technology. The event was co-hosted by the Society for International Development (SIDW) Health and Nutrition Workgroup in Washington, D.C. at the offices of International Resources Group (IRG).
